| Overview: | Located in Avonmouth, this new bottling/packaging and distribution facility for Constellation Europe covers a staggering 80,900sqm and is their biggest investment in premises to date. Atlas Ward Structures Ltd provided the connection design, fabrication and erection of 2,860 tonnes of structural steelwork for this project, they also supplied and fixed the metal decking and stairs. Constellation Europe is part of Constell Brands Inc, the largest wine company in the world. As well as increasing warehouse capacity by 53 million bottles of wine, approximately 120 million bottles will be packaged; saving shipping costs and reducing the mountain of imported green glass. The work carried out by Atlas Ward was completed in January 2008 on schedule and with a good health and safety performance. |
