Watson Steel - Fire Incident

There was an incident at approximately 4.30am this morning at Watson Steel Structures Ltd in Bolton.
The fire alarm was activated in the stores area of the plant and Watson's security personnel informed the police and fire service, who were quickly in attendance.

No-one was injured and the damage was contained to the stores area and, following examination by the fire service and management, full production at the plant was resumed by 9.30am.
All procedures were followed promptly and effectively.
We would like to thank Kevin O’Connor (Fire Incident Commander) and his team from the Bolton Fire service for their professional and prompt action, which brought this incident under control quickly and effectively.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage but an investigation is being undertaken and our insurers have been notified.
